Lands Department

The Lands Department works in conjunction with other departments with development opportunities.

The Department is responsible for administering 33 parcels of lands located throughout the shíshálh Nation. The land is held in fee simple and spreads over 2600 acres, stretching from xe’nichen (the north end of Jervis inlet), to kalpilin (Pender Harbour) in the west and ch’atlich (Sechelt) in the southeast.

The Lands Department develops land and grants leases through commercial, residential, and industrial agreements in addition to licenses, permits, rights of way, or any of the interest in the shíshálh Nation.
