Program Objectives
The Broad objectives of the Social Development Program are:
- To assist persons living on shíshálh lands in maintaining a basic standard of living
- To prevent dependency by developing individual and family strengths
- To assist recipients to access services that will enhance their ability to assume primary responsibility for their own affairs
- Need is determined by the application of a means test, and other applicable eligibility requirements
Please Note: clients need to provide an ROE if applicable. And, there are additional documents that will need to be completed at the Social Development program office.
