The shíshálh Community Services Division Health Department strives to improve the health and wellness of shíshálh Nation members. The Health Care Team consists of a Community Health Representative (CHR), Health Programs Assistant, Public Health Nurse, Community Home Care Nurse, Home Support team and Meals on Wheels. The Health Care Team promotes traditional and cultural approaches to health practises.

Mom and Baby Group

Strengthening Families

Jeh Jeh Circle of Care

An innovative wrap-around model of care that utilizes a complex care management approach to support the clients in our community with the highest care needs. Including Mental Wellness and Substance Use, Naloxone Training, Chronic Disease Support, Elder Care, Youth Wellness

Art Therapy

Art therapy is a proven healing modality that supports and strengthens the natural creativity of each person to move towards greater health. Art/play therapy sessions for children 2-19 offered at the CMS offices. For more information, call the health programs manager at 604-885-9404.

Meals on Wheels for Elders, critically ill or disabled

Adolescent Mental Health

Community based support services that promote traditional shishalh nation healing practices. Will liaise with local professionals and agencies and link families to local child and youth mental health services. FNHA Medical Transportation Benefits

The FNHA Health Benefits program provides medical transportation benefits so that you can access medical services that are covered under the BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) or the FNHA Health Benefits program.
