The shíshálh Community Services Division Health Department strives to improve the health and wellness of shíshálh Nation members. The Health Care Team consists of a Community Health Representative (CHR), Health Programs Assistant, Public Health Nurse, Community Home Care Nurse, Home Support team and Meals on Wheels. The Health Care Team promotes traditional and cultural approaches to health practises.

Jennifer Hibbard is the on site counsellor. She works with individuals, couples and families, suffering from trauma, substance use, depression/anxiety, grief and loss, psychosis, as well as intimate partner violence and sexual trauma. She utilizes a number of modalities including body-based work related to trauma treatment. She is available by individual appointment, as well as walk-in clinic every Friday morning from 9-12. She also conducts groups such as mindfulness for depression/anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma resiliency skills group.

Will liaise with local professionals and agencies and link families to local child and youth mental health services.
