Elders
The shíshálh Nation is guided by a group of Elders who assist with the restoration and preservation of culture and language. Since the 1970s, the Elders of the shíshálh Nation have led the efforts to revive the she shashishalhem language, which has since led to the publishing of a 1000 plus page dictionary and ongoing translation services for songs, dances, legends, prayers, and classroom instruction.
